Marsha C. Kennedy, J.D.
Ms. Kennedy resides in Charlotte, NC with her fourteen year old twins. She is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in speech communications. She received her J.D. from The University of Georgia School of Law. Ms. Kennedy practiced law for twelve years in Chicago, Illinois and in Charlotte, North Carolina. She has also worked in the financial services industry specializing in financial planning and insurance. Ms. Kennedy is a licensed Family Law Mediator and a Certified Parent Coordinator. Ms. Kennedy has represented victims of domestic violence on a pro bono basis and has worked to raise money for organizations protecting victims of domestic violence. Additionally, she is a volunteer for the Council for Childrens Rights. She is an active member of Myers Park United Methodist Church where she sings in the choir and is trained as a Stephen Minister. Ms. Kennedy designed and began leading the divorce workshops in 2001 in response to her own separation and the great need expressed by many churches, synagogues and other community organizations for positive support for people facing divorce. She currently works as a Family Law Mediator and a Parent Coordinator as well as leads the Divorce Workshops.
